On Wednesday, I met the love of my life.
Or of my stomach, to be more precise.
The much talked about restaurant that seems to have been causing a bit of a sensation recently.
After realising it was high time we met up to swap travel photos from our backpacking adventures last year my friend and I came to the conclusion that the best time to do this would be over brunch.
The only question remaining was: “But where?!”
“I heard the pancakes are good,” were all the words required to get me through the doors of the Birmingham Bullring Bill’s branch. Now try saying that last bit five times really fast.
We kick-started proceedings by ordering a pot of bramble berry tea which was soon followed by a scrumptious looking bowl of porridge with bananas, hazelnuts and honey on for Soph and an equally delicious looking plate of avocado on toast served with a lime dressing, seeds, a pinch of chilli and a poached egg for me.
We swapped photos, put the world to rights and devoured the tasty food that had been set before us by our friendly waiter.
Someone remind me to have avocado on toast for breakfast more often pls.
Just as we were thinking of paying we spotted a couple of other items on the menu…
Lemon meringue pie cheesecake with layers of lemon curd, creamy yoghurt ice cream and poppy seed meringue,
a chocolate brownie milkshake
and mini cinnamon doughnuts, served warm, with fresh strawberries and a chocolate dipping sauce.
It would have been rude not to.
